He has also worked for several small business owners and learned basic business skills through an apprenticeship type atmosphere during college. For the past fifteen years, Mr. Almond has worked with youth, young adults, and families in various ways. On a volunteer basis he has led several middle and high school discipleship groups, co-led a young adult Bible study, and assisted several youth groups. Recently, he co-led a WyldLife group at Christ Church Episcopal School. Mr. Almond has also held several paid positions dealing with youth and families at Camp Patmos, Southside Fellowship, and Greenville Gymnastics. Mr. Almond’s passion for people around the world is evident through his participation in several mission trips, including the two trips to South Africa and one to England he organized. In 2010, he assisted Demelza Jarrett for five weeks as she shot video throughout Europe for her mission board, Biblical Ministries Worldwide. His current project, Off The Coast Ministries, seeks to enable young adults and college students to grow in their relationship with God, discover the gifts they’ve been given, and help them utilize those gifts in their community and around the world.
