Tory J. Almond is a 2005 graduate of North Greenville University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Youth Ministry with a Family Ministry focus. In 2014, he received a Master of Divinity from Tyndale Theological Seminary in Badhoevedorp, the Netherlands. Tory has also studied Elementary Education for two years and also Film and Video Production for a couple years at Bob Jones University. During his university years, he did a semester internship with the Walt Disney World’s College Program where he was educated on the history and standards that made Walt Disney World what it is today. He has also worked for several small business owners and learned basic business and social media skills through an apprenticeship type atmosphere.

For over twenty years, Tory has worked with children, youth, young adults, and families in various ways. On a volunteer basis he has led several middle and high school discipleship groups, co-led a young adult Bible study, and assisted with several youth groups. He also co-led a WyldLife group at Christ Church Episcopal School for two years after graduating university. Mr. Almond has also held several paid positions working with youth and families at Camp Patmos, Southside Fellowship, Greenville Gymnastics, and Crossroads International Church Amsterdam. These roles included teaching and worship for youth and children’s ministries, organizing and producing multimedia for camp and church ministry, coaching various levels of gymnastics, and organizing and leading activities for youth from all over the world. Before moving to the Netherlands in 2011, Jeremy Spurling and Tory Almond formed and led a ministry called Off The Coast Ministries for over three years that ministered to the young adults of Greenville, SC. Off The Coast connected young adults and university students in the Greenville area to other young adults, the community, and God.

As much as he loves working with youth in his home country, Tory feels that his knowledge and experience can be used to help train and work with local youth leaders whilst ministering to young people in countries lacking trained leaders and volunteers.

During his last two years in the Netherlands, Tory volunteered with the international, English speaking youth at Crossroads International Church Amsterdam. As he worked with this group, they opened his eyes to the amazing opportunities that exist to connect with the expat/international youth of Amsterdam and has stayed to continue working with the multicultural youth. He has partnered with local and international organizations to help provide community for the international youth, work with them and their parents through the transition of moving to a new location, and provide support and training for other organizations throughout Europe who work with multicultural youth and families.
